Bridesmaid Dresses

Choosing bridesmaid dresses can be a fun and girl bonding experience!  Be a good friend and don’t choose a dress that makes your bridesmaids look dreadful.  If you are wanting all the dresses to be the same, choose a style and color that will look good on all your bridesmaids.  A-line and empire dresses look best on all body types.   It is also nice to choose a dress that can be worn again, not just for the sole purpose of your wedding.  Consider choosing a certain color and letting your bridesmaids choose their own style of dress.   Also keep in mind each bridesmaid’s budget.  Don’t choose something that costs a ton if you know most of your bridesmaids cannot afford it.

Be sure to ask your bridesmaids opinion about all dress options, and make sure they will feel comfortable in the dress.  For formal and/or evening weddings, floor length or tea-length dresses are normally worn.  For informal or daytime weddings, shorter dresses such as knee-length or mini-skirt may be worn.  As soon as you’ve decided on the dresses, order them right away.  Give enough time for the ordering, shipping, alterations, etc.  Next, find your accessories such as jewelry and shoes for your bridesmaids.  There may be all the same, or you may let your bridesmaids choose their own accessories to wear.
